    Thank you! I started reading your book Thursday night, and i “devoured” it. Highlighting all the recipes on my nook as I read. I have wanted to write something similar with respect to my heritage and how our holidays are celebrated around the world. This was truly inspiring and as I look forward to a new phase in life, i may just give it a go!

    I have always had a rule in my house, not just for my family, but for anyone who sits at my table… you don’t have to eat everything, but you must TRY everything, at least three bites! Many of my friends tell me what a sophisticated palate my teenager has, and always had, because of that rule! I like to think many of our friends have expanded their ideas about food because of it!

    Thank you so much for sharing your adventure! I can’t wait to spend more time exploring your website which is now my NEW Favorite!

    Thank you Sasha, Ava, & Keith for allowing us into your life. I Googled summer books 2016 yesterday and “Life from Scratch” appeared. I thought to myself I could leisurely read this over the summer. Boy was I mistaken, I read it in one day. You had me back in time to many of my experiences as a child. Though mine weren’t quite as drastic or heartbreaking, the moments of heartbreak and happiness in mine were all too familiar. Funny how that happens when one’s story could bring back memories of another’s. I loved the book and hope that other’s will as well.
