Ingredients
  • 3 tomatoes , quartered
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 small Poblano peppers , or similar pepper, to taste
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water , or as needed
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth.
  2. In a medium pot simmer uncovered until thickened to desired consistency. About 45-60 minutes.
Recipe Notes

The sauce will quickly turn the deep, lovely red we are so accustomed to. Add more salt and pepper, if needed.
